On Saturday, CI will graduate over 2,000 students. Among those students is Sociology major Maria Pimentel. In this short video, Maria describes her research and reflects on the important role that student research played in her undergraduate experience. Mentored by Professor Luis Sanchez, Maria’s research netted a 2nd place in the 2016 CSU Student Research Competition, and first place at the 2016 CSU SSRIC Social Science Student Symposium (S4).
